Summary / Description
On the occasion of Teej, a renowned traditional festival of Rajasthan, the University
organised Kriti-2023, the annual mehendi competition for the students. Teej, a festival
observed by the women of Rajasthan, beautifully depicts Indian culture and values. The
students of the Universities participated in the competition and festivities with zest and
fervour. Folk music and dances were performed by them. This initiative inculcated a
sense of pride among the students and sensitized them about the rich Indian heritage.
The young IIS Ambassadors will inspire the world to discover Bharatiya culture in all its
beautiful diversity. The competition was organized under two categories – Traditional
Designs and Contemporary Designs. The judgement was based on Creativity,
Composition and Neatness. The esteemed judges for the event were - Miss Prerna
Dubey, Head-Art & Design Dept., Jayshree Periwal Group of Schools, Miss Sanchi Ahuja,
 
Founder- Brushes and Colours and Miss Sheetal Chitlangia, Head, Dept. of Fine Arts,
IIS(Deemed to be University). Hon’ble Chancellor IIS(Deemed to be University), Dr
Ashok Gupta and Registrar, Dr. Raakhi Gupta graced the occasion and lauded the
students for their overwhelming participation and creativity. The winners in the
contemporary design were Kanak Chippa, Tanisha Saini and Harshita Bhargava , while
the winners in the traditional design were Tania Chandani , Iram Kagzi, Manisha and
Krishna Soni .
