Objective of the workshop/seminar/activity:
The main aim of this party is to give an affectionate welcome to new students. Such parties instill confidence in students and enhance their creativity.
Summary/Description:
The University wore a festive look as it geared up to welcome the new batch of freshers. The seniors presented a kaleidoscopic show of dance and music and danced to the tunes of latest bollywood chart busters. Vibrant ambience and impeccable mood had made the day of everyone present on the occasion. The program commenced with a welcome note by Dr. Ashok Gupta, the Hon’ble Chancellor of the university, wherein he said that good education and guidance prepares the foundation of a promising future and the university provides opportunities to its students to express and hone their abilities & talents to the fullest. The seniors took over the stage and took the juniors to fun-filled and enthralling ride. The students of the university had set the stage on fire with their exuberant performances. The girls were at their best when they performed on foot-tapping numbers from Hollywood as well as Bollywood. Some students took the program on another level with western dance forms like free style, jazz and Broadway and left everyone spell bound. The highlight of the event was the Ms. Fresher Contest, which was organized in various phases and was adjudged by a panel of judges. On the final day 27 UG students and 10 PG students participated in Ms. Freshers’ Contest. After three rigorous rounds of competition, the winners of the Ms. Freshers’ contest were announced.
